First long term study of GE crops underway

You may remember the Seralini study of a couple of years back which demonstrated potential linkages between GE crops and health including cancer.

A $23 million study has now gotten underway to test the effects of GE crops on health – this will be a major systematic independent study of GE crops and much needed, as currently (believe it or not) GE crops are approved in North America based on the evidence presented by the companies that make these crops. In other words, there is no independent testing of these foods that many people are consuming unknowingly.

Where in the world are GE crops?

Through 2015 CBAN will be releasing a series of state of the art reports on GE crops as part of the national GMO Inquiry in Canada.
